Cailini An Iarthair Look To The County

Best of luck to all the Grainne Mhaols hopefuls who are trying out for the various Underage County Panels over the next few weeks. It is both a tremendous achievement and a huge honour to make the final thirty at the end of the process. Galway is brimming with female football talent and the desire of West Connemara girls to get their hands on a prestigious maroon and white jersey in 2017 is no less than that of any of their counterparts from the other thirty six LGFA clubs. Well done once again to Megan Walsh who made the breakthrough last year. Megan was following in the footsteps of Mary Joyce (U12), Maire Coyne (U14), Mairead Coyne (U14), Zara Mortimer (U14), Danielle Lydon (U14), Fionnuala Hannigan Dunkley (U14), Brenda Mulkerrins (U14), Tara Flaherty (U14 and U16), Chloe O Malley (U12, U14 and U16) and Kim Young (U12, U14 and U16).
