Richie Bowled Over By High Quality Fare at Renvyle

The 2002 West Connemara Cumann na mBunscol Finals were co-hosted by CLG Rinn Mhaoile and CPB Ghráinne Mhaoil in Tullycross.  The fine weather and excellent playing surface made for a wonderful day’s football.   Cumann na mBunscol Secretary, Richard Bowles, who was in attendance, commented very favourably on the high standards of play throughout the day, noting that the ten finals were very much a celebration of the wealth of footballing talent throughout the region. Special thanks goes to Richard for making the long trip out in order to present the trophies and medals.  I would also like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to all the primary teachers for promoting this wonderful sport, to all the team managers for preparing their teams so well, to Tommy Kane and Stephen Thomas Kane who refereed so fairly and to such a high standard, and finally to Renvyle GAA Chairperson, Stephen Salmon and his brother Tommy who worked hard all day to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
